Your first visit
An hour and a half, mostly resting
A first visit has three parts: a conversation, a treatment and a plan. You are in charge the whole time, and you can ask us to stop or to skip any part.
Bring or wear
Loose clothing that rolls up at the knee and elbow
A list of the medicines you take
A light meal an hour or two before

In order
What happens, step by step
- 01
Step 1: You arrive
The front desk welcomes you in English or Spanish and gives you a short form about how to reach you.
- 02
Step 2: We talk
About 15 to 20 minutes about your health, your week and what you hope for. Bring your questions.
- 03
Step 3: You rest
You lie on a padded table while the needles stay in place, usually 20 to 30 minutes.
- 04
Step 4: A plan
We say what we did and what we suggest next, give you a receipt, and you decide.
Tell us first
What to tell us before we begin
Say any of these when you book or at the start of your visit. We adjust, or suggest other care.
Pregnancy
If you are pregnant or might be.
Blood thinners
Or a bleeding disorder, or if you bruise easily.
A pacemaker
Or any implanted device.
Lymph nodes
If any were removed, tell us which side.
Needles make you nervous
Many people feel that way. We go slowly, or start with other care.
Everything you take
Medicines, vitamins and anything from the pharmacy. Keep taking what your prescriber gave you.
Ready to book?
Ask for a time, and ask us anything first. We answer in English or Spanish.
